Message From The Chair

Hi New Pros,

Thanks to everyone who participated in our very successful New Pros Week — whether you hosted an event at your local Chapter or joined in on our Twitter chat, we had a great time connecting with everyone and recognizing our members.

The past couple of months have kept us busy as we recognized new professionals during our New Pros Week in August, diversity in PR throughout August and now, ethics in September, all critical components to our success as PR professionals. We, as your executive committee, have built a number of resources for you focused on these areas:

  • Our regular blog posts feature a ton of great content around these topics and more.
  • Our recent webinar focused on writing for diverse audiences. Check out the playback here.
  • Our monthly Twitter chats often sync up with these topics so be sure to get involved with #NPPRSA.

Please continue to reach out to if you have any questions or need additional guidance. Our committee is all ears!

Best,
Jess Noonan

New Pros Chapter Highlights

Throughout the year, PRSA New Pros' blog, The Edge, has profiled various Chapters across the country with a local New Pros Section of their own. These are just some of the many local offshoots that exist to better support young professionals wanting to launch their public relations careers:

#AskNewPros

In the spirit of mentorship, we're relaunching #AskNewPros, in which we take pressing questions from PRSSA members and answer them in a new blog series. You can read the first one here. To contribute as a virtual mentor by answering some questions in the series, send Alyssa an email.
